    My EE is losing fethers around her preening glad and the skin at the base of the gland is swollen. I dust the coop, run and my 4 hens with food grade D.E every other month so I don't think it is mites, lice or ticks. Also, no other hen showers any signs. What can I do to help my EE?

    I read an article on Fresh Eggs Daily that recommends putting a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar per gallon of water to boost chickens general health. My EE is 7 months old and started passing clear watery poop after drinking the water. Is this a problem?

    Chicken poop and children

    Thanks for all the wonderfully helpfull, informative and anecdotal replies. I am happy tp report that all the kids are just fine and did not suffer any ill effects. It was harder on me then them because I knew where that scraper had been ;-)
