    Yes, it looks like you are probably right. So the small size is ok for it then? it does have quite long wings for its body which made me think it might be a cross. I dont really care what the cross is as long as its ok for him to be so small! Thanks for your help!

    Little Wilie is about a month old but much smaller than his (?) other month old EE companions. I am not sure if he is not getting enough food, or if he just is a breed that develops slower.     I am no expert, but I had a chicken that I got from a friend. She wasn't very tame at all. She then broke her leg and I cared for her all the time. after that she was so wonderful, always wanted to follow me and sit on my lap. Treats never hurt too! I'd say you can do it but it'll take more time...

    Nova's comb is a mystery to me. I'm not very experienced, but from the research I have done it looks like a rose comb. It's definitely not the same as the RIR. The back (part farthest from the beak) is dipped in like it was pushed down. Here is another shot that might help.

    Just an update. Here is a picture of the head of the light colored one (in case that changes anything). As well as a few of the production reds. Should I assume the splash girl will start laying late because they are a slow growing breed? Nova (lighter blrw) Nova Nova's tail Sassy...
