Maybe they are laying in a ditch or something and the eggs are hidden? Thats all I can think of. I always find eggs that are bad because the chickens sometimes lay in a bush and then a smell something bad and find old eggs.

Just feed them the bits of oyster shells. Grind it up if you have to and then put it into their food and it will do the trick. Look at my previous post.

I also have had a respiratory problem in one of my black links. I just got four new ones and one of them has it I think. If they start sneezing then try and isolate it and watch it for any symptoms. If it has it then you can go to a vet and it usually turns out fine.
