    our rooster hates me!

    Our rooster "Jake" hates me, everytime i get close to him, he tries to spike me. He has punched holes in my legs through my jeans and socks. He also slams into the wire fence trying to get me. Is this normal? He loves my husband and never tries it with him. Any suggestions?

    Chickens do not want to go out in the snow!

    Had about 8 inches of snow here in southern Ohio, chickens don't want to go out, just squack and walk around, they will have warm oatmeal today. Thanks for the tip, of course, that will make them happy. Plan to make a run for them to see if they will come out. Love having the chickens, usually...

    it was in the upper 90's and 100's here too and we gave our 12 golden comets and our rooster some corn on the cob and sprayed the sprinkler in the yard toward them, they thought it was bugs and kept scratching the soil, they are so funny and they seem to love their house, which is my old pig...

    little chicks in farmersville

    got our chicks on thursday, lost two of them today, they have lots of water and a clean wooden box, with a light. they seem to be happy, what should i look for. don't want to lose any more of them. thanks
