We have at our Place a flock of Coral Blue Guinea Fowl and some White Homing Pigeons. One old Lab named Blue, Me, my husband Joe and my Parents. We have a 10 Acer lot which backs up to a Creek.
Have been raising the guineas and selling Keets...
Up-Date my friends have just sent me a pic of the Rooster Daddy. LOL
Will find out more info later tonight as to his age and if the hens have been with Roosters before.

We are getting ready to build our hen house. We are building it Shed style so if we ever stop raising chickens it can be used as a shed. With that in mind we have a choice to walk into the hen house each day to gather eggs from their nesting boxes or have the nesting boxes outside the hen house...
thanks fried green eggs. Guineas are so different then chickens. A guinea wont go broody until there are about 20-30 eggs on the nest. So I wasn't sure about the Chicken Hens. We don't have any basements here in the South. But I told my friend that I would bring my egg turner over and we can set...
My Friend is adding a Rooster to her flock of 14 hens so that I can have some fertile eggs to incubate.
How many days do you ALL think it should take for New Rooster to get acquainted with the hens and we can start collecting eggs for the incubator?
