I would keep a close eye on her. Don't force her to eat but make sure she has plenty of water and food available. It is important to make sure she has plenty of liquids. If you make sure she has had small pebbles or grit to eat she probably doesn't have impacted crop but it seems that is what...
I am afraind it might not make it but there always is a chance. Yes, keep it warm and make sure it has plenty of food and water. It might not have been possitioned right while incubating. It is either deformed or its leg is just out of the socket. Hope is lives a long happy life.
It is possible that she might have some type of irritant in her eye such as a small piece of hay or very small ship of wood depending on the bedding you have. Have you noticed them pecking at each other? That could also be the case. Try to rinse her eye out with some fresh luke warm water...
Well, i have a question regarding my 3 Guineas i just purchesed. When they are fully grown can i let them out during the day and will they come back to the coup at night? I think they are a month and a half old right now. How old should they be before a let them free range during the day?
Please help!!!! For the past month my White leghorn rooster has done nothing he is supposed to be doing. He hasn't crowed all Winter which he usually does a lot, he hasn't been breeding with the hens or anything. He doesn't seem very upbeat. He is either under the heat lamp or he is with the...
Try giving her more protein. Protein is essential in a chicken's health. Does she seem to be eating well? How old is she? If she is a pullet she might just have decided to not start laying yet.
Can anyone give me some suggestions on how i could water my hens in the winter? I do not have any running water in my coup and i do not have hose set up on the winter either. Thank you for your help.
Some hens just start laying eggs at different times. So just be patiant. You will walk out to the coop and find eggs very soon. Could your hens be stressed about anything like preditors?
I would suggest to dip her legs in Olive oil 3 times a week until mites are gone. Take out all the bedding in all the nesting boxes and sprinkle each nesting box well with Permetherin powder. Then freshen all the nesting boxes with a layer of bedding. Transfer the hen and eggs to another...
I am not sure what your hens have but i will suggest that you clean out your coop with Clorox. I am thinking your hens might have a problem with their inner ear. Hope your hens feel better.
Do you notice any bullying from other hens? She might be starting the process of molting. I actually have an Americana hen that is losing her feathers in the same area. Not sure what is the cause though.
