    I used the Polytuf panels from Lowe's. Corrugated Vinyl. My run is 8x16, and I cover 12' foot of it, and left 4' just covered with hardware cloth. So far it's been good!

    cheapest source for hardware cloth?

    Wayfair or Amazon.com will be your best source for wire online. I just bought 100' from Amazon, and it was just a little bit more than what I paid Home Depot for 50'. I think mine was 108 with free shipping from Amazon.
