    Hello from LA (lower Alabama)

The roos are separated. They roam the yard during the day while the hens have the house and run. Then at night we put the hens in the house, roos in the run

    I mixed up my chickens...

Went out and did inventory. Hens: 5 americaunas, 10 Black Sex Link/Black Copper Marans, 14 Buff Orpington (2 could be roos with small comb) 2 RIR (1still not sure hen or roo). Started with 59 total (and 6 turkeys...only one of them left, but I'm sure he's the huge one that looks like a...

    I mixed up my chickens...

We originally had 9. 3 are roos and we either lost one of them or a BSL. They outgrew the 8x10 coop and we lost a few to pecking 2 were Americaunas. When we started out everybody around here told us to get twice as many as we wanted because that's about what would survive. We wanted about 15...

Unfortunately they all have clean legs but one. The BSL I believe are RIR and Barred Rock a few of the Roos look just like Barred Rocks and we got all but the BCM from the same hatchery

Lol...everybody told me and the wife "if you want a few w, get a bunch, baby chicks are hard to keep alive"...and we lost 5 out of 54. Now we're trying to handle twice as many chickens as we originally wanted. I enjoy them, though

    I mixed up my chickens...

I'm new to chickens and I think made a big mistake. I put them all in the same pen...about 6months ago. I have Buff Orpingtons, RIRs, Black Stars/sex links, Black Copper Marans, and Americaunas. Most of them I can figure out, but can't tell the difference between the BCM hens and the Black...
