Yes, I have been massaging as well as soaking. Nothing is coming out with that not even poop. It seems very painful for her when I do the massage. Now she just lays and pants, I feel so bad for her suffering.

Hi. Well soaking her doesn't seem to be giving her any relief so far. Will keep at it, but she's looking more and more uncomfortable.:(

Does this hen look egg bound? I just washed her off. There was a little bit of yellow/bright green discharge. She is standing with her legs far apart. She's been like this since yesterday. It's very squishy, can't feel an egg. About to soak her. Any suggestions?

    Hen can't stand up

Can you tell me whatever happened to this hen? I have one that is doing the exact same thing.

Well, I was wondering how long I should let this hen sit on these eggs that were due to hatch yesterday... Another few days I guess? I haven't candled them since 2.5 weeks, didn't want to disturb them.

Their EE's are great layers and pretty birds, but mine have no muffs and one lays a pink egg and the other green. So don't count on blues from them. But very healthy and pretty markings.

I would think too much of it would, yes. But one clove per gallon doesn't seem like too much, actually that garlic capsule I was talking about might just do that. Hmm. Also citrus is supposed to cease laying so don't feed it anyway. I've offered them onions of all kinds and they won't touch...

I've read there's good immune and parasite repellent benefits from adding a clove of garlic to each gallon of water. The Mennonites swear by this. I plan to grow a bunch for this specific reason... Meanwhile I was wondering if a garlic capsule supplement would do the trick. Anyone tried this?

Just bought some at Walmart in Murfreesboro. They only had two bottles so you just have to watch for it. Ask someone what day they stock and go then. This one stocks on Monday nights or Tuesdays... I used to know for sure. Also maybe trader joes?

As predicted, my flock has doubled this year from last. Total addict. Taking a survey to find out at what age do you find it safe to integrate youngsters into the main flock? Thanks! Also, my lovely husband spent memorial day helping me fence a yard for them to free range. They are soooo happy...

Aren't they? My daughter Skylar, who is two, got to watch a jubliee hatch when we were there last. Fun!
