Nice.. I've got a silver pied male and an IB split to white so there's definitely a chance I could get some pied babies

Thanks Kathy! Will do. I'm just so excited to have a live chick .. I had terrible hatch rates this year.. I had a lot developing great that were active in their shells and just quit around days 26-29 and this is the only chick that made it out alive. After putting another calibrated thermometer...

Pied or split to white chick?

I'm tending to lean that way as well because I suspect that this egg came from my white hen as she was the first to start laying a little over a month ago and I saw my oldest IB peacock after her quite often.. bummer I'd love to have a little pied baby though

    stumped on this duck breed...

That's what I thought too .. she was found wandering outside a neighborhood begging for food and couldn't fly away with her other duck friends when winter came. I'm wondering if someone dumped a khaki campbell that mated with a mallard

    Preformed pond in duck coop?

I do like the functionality of the rubbermaid stock tanks .. the 300 gal is $200+ at TSC though .. these pond inserts are only $59 at Menards.. I'm wondering if I can get a stock tank replacement drain/plug ..

    Preformed pond in duck coop?

I volunteer at a wildlife rehab center on the weekends and we have these pond liners in each of the waterfowl units .. what we do is sump pump the dirty water out with a pump and an old hose .. it works pretty well .. I like the idea of a drain better though

    stumped on this duck breed...

Hi all ... I volunteer at a wildlife rehab center on the weekends and we unfortunately get a lot of calls on domestic ducks dumped into the wild .. a lot of times after being given as Easter gifts and then the families realize how much work keeping ducks are.. I have adopted quite a few of...

Using nipple waterer system for peafowl?

Hi all - I have a nipple watering system in our poultry barn for my peafowl to use but I never see them use it. More often then not I catch them drinking out of dirty puddles, the duck pond, etc. This led me to put a 5 gal waterer in their run/flight pen since I was worried about them drinking...
