Just up the way In Patterson and way too cold for us here too. My Hens were out and about getting the blood pumping early though and looking for whatever's moving on the ground. This afternoon they are out of the sun side of the house eating greens and more bugs.
Only 4 today from the rock Hens. I think my Ameraucanas are going to go thru a light molt at 8 months. Down feathers all over and no eggs from one for over a week and the off 3 days now. I have increased their proteins :(

Since the time change I'm guaranteed 4 eggs everyday from my Rock Hens born in late March. My 2 Ameraucana are less reliable every other day or two, Also born late March. One has decided she is going to molt this year.

Oh I know the brown is Ameraucana, her name is Red. The others I thought were Leghorns but they have red ear lobes and lay brown eggs. Leghorns have white ear lobes and white eggs. Hence the reason I have not been able to figure out what what breed they are as of yet....
