Chicks are 21 days old. They grow so fast!! All 26 had a couple hours of play time and their first time outside in the "BoneYard". This gave me a chance to clean out the brooder. I think the dogs are used to them already. They just sat there and watched the chicks peck around. Fun, Fun!!
OK it's been driving me crazy trying to figure out the breed of my chicks so here goes. I have a mix of 15 brown egg layers, 4 RR females, 2 Ancona females, 2 Araucana (EE) females, 2 RR roosters, 1 Araucana Rooster and a mystery chick. These pictures should help.

Sad morning. I checked on the chicks at 10:30 last night all were good. Woke up at 2:30 went to check on them and one was laying dead. So sad. It looked like paste butt clogged him up. I've only had a few I had to clean so far. I feel horrible. I should have checked on them sooner. Good...
Yep definatley feel like a new dad!! I'll probably be up playing with them tonight. From what I've read on BYC, I can feed them a few treats like scrambled eggs, spaghetti and yogart already? Anyone agree with that or should I just waite a week or two. They where born Friday Jan 25th at 5pm...
