2x2x12' cages ok for pigeons? Other questions as well

I finally found some pigeons and will be picking them up tomorrow(3 pair white fantails). I have no problem building something...

    Which wire flooring for Chukar?

I have used 1/2x1/2 in the past with no problem with feet.. UC Davis recommend 1/2x1 which is a heavier gauge wire.Cages will be 3x12 with the 1/2x1/2 or 12x2.3 with the 1/2x1 with central supports. I am leaning towards the 1/2x1/2 since i have used it before and will be able to make larger...

Turkey house hoop house or stand alone building whats your thoughts?

I'm in the process of building 6 25x25' turkey pens. They will have individual house in each pen.. So what's your thoughts on hoops houses vs a small pole building in each pen? Price would be around the same with the HD tarps.

West Virginia has a blanket law on game birds. A quail is a quail no matter if it is a button or a bob white.. The officer that came out did not understand why he was there and we looked over the laws together. Sure enough no matter what kind of quail it is you have to have a game farm license...
