    Okay we had mites got rid of mites with ivomec, de, poultry dust ect. New coop too with lindseed on the perches. I have two chickens that have joints exposed.     Question to those that feed their chickens eggshells back to their chickens.

    I wash mine and then put them in the oven for 20 min or so at 200 or better... just watch so they dont burn.. There was a video on youtube about chickens that included this handy tip.... It also keeps the chickens from knowing its egg shell.. then they wont eat own shells.

    We have 8 Australorp hens. We had mites bad- we are pretty sure we have successfully gotten rid of them. After a lot of reading we used ivomec on them and built a new coop. I now have 2 hens that have bloody wing joints.. the other hens are picking at them and they themselves may be over...
