My birds are in a coop outside. Should I just cover the coop with a tarp?
Also, I am literally in the middle of a hatch. Almost half of them are out. I'm really scared the power is going to go out and the littles are going to freeze. What can I do to keep them warm if that happens? Any ideas?
That makes a lot of sense! I also added in some more quail so maybe that's made them more stressed as well. Where they are now gets more light so I'm not horribly worried about that aspect. Thanks! That's helpful!
I haven't heard any of my boys crow in a couple of days. My hens also haven't laid in a couple of days. What the heck is going on? They just recently got moved to a new coop and they seem to really love it there. They don't seem unhappy or scared or anything. Any ideas?

This is my first hatch (quail) and I'm getting impatient! The eggs have been moving and I've been hearing peeps but no pips yet! How long after egg movement should I expect to see some pips? They're on day 17 right now.
