    Anybody have any ideas? She seems to be acting normal other than the eye injury. Maybe she just hit her eye on something?

    This just showed up today. I cleaned it off this evening but the eye had a yellow crust and a slight yellow crust/discharge was coming out of the nostril on the same side. Any ideas on what this is and how I treat it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Barclay

    How long is to long between first and second egg?

    I thought she might have a nest somewhere so I have been keeping her in the run/coop for the past week and nothing. I did introduce a new Columbian Rock pullet to the coop a week ago so maybe that has stalled the process. They do not seem very stressed though.

    Yes, I live in North Georgia. Been fairly warm here but not extremely hot. High 80s to low 90s.

    My Barred Rock has black scales on the front of her legs. I started treatment for mites but maybe she does not have them? Does anyone else have Barred Rocks with black scales on their legs? The scales do not appear to be raised very much. You can see her legs in this photo...
