I hate to ask this, but I have two chicks...
(out of four) that need to go I'm afraid. This is my first hatch and I'm ready for the next - but I jest need to take care of this hatch first. Yeah, it'll be tough to do, but I gotta do it (and I'm going to need to do it a bunch in the future)...
One healthy yella chicken; plus one half with the shell fully pipped, just needs to spread his wings and split the egg. Two more eggs pipped for a total of 4/15. Oh well, at least I have one baby (so far)!
The only eggs that are hatching are the ones closest to the incubator wall...
12 hours later - I have 4 eggs pipping and I heard a chirp just a minute ago. I nearly fainted! ha.
How long does a chick take from pip to hatch? I know some chicks are slower than others but when do I get nervous? (YES - I'm an anxious person!)
