Terriers are highly prey driven so yes management is the first step. You don't want your dog to practice barking and chasing the chickens because he/she will get better at it and it could escalate. I would recommend a clicker. They can be found at any pet store for a buck or two. Here is a...
Hi there!
My girls were laying slow during moult (expected) but now they seemed to have dropped off laying entirely. I got them a protein supplement but that hasn't seemed to help. Any suggestions other than artificial light? I'd like to do things to make sure they are happy and healthy...
I've repeatedly found my "lowest in the pecking order" cuddled up outside the coop. I pick her up and place her inside every evening and shut them in. Recently I have found her in the coop on her own (although not cuddled up snugly with the others.)

The saga continues...
She seemed to have passed some sort of parasite. She's doing remarkably better. Standing up (although a little wobbly) eating and drinking on her own. Since yesterday she's been eating, drinking and consequently pooping alot! I found what looked like a worm or maggot...
Thanks everyone!

Just a few newbie questions:
How old should my chicks be before I take the lamp off? They are currently inside the house.
How old to start introducing other foods?
What are some things to look out for? Already survived pasty butt!
Thanks so much!
