My dog and my chickens don't get along.

Terriers are highly prey driven so yes management is the first step. You don't want your dog to practice barking and chasing the chickens because he/she will get better at it and it could escalate. I would recommend a clicker. They can be found at any pet store for a buck or two. Here is a...

    Hens not laying

Hi there! My girls were laying slow during moult (expected) but now they seemed to have dropped off laying entirely. I got them a protein supplement but that hasn't seemed to help. Any suggestions other than artificial light? I'd like to do things to make sure they are happy and healthy...

    Sick Chick

My four week old chick went sick for seemingly no reason this week. She was laying on the floor unable to stand and burning up. I put her in a box lined with towels to get her away from her trampling sisters. I read that petalite can help hydrate and get the sugar up until they are able to...

    Hello Newb here

Just a few newbie questions: How old should my chicks be before I take the lamp off? They are currently inside the house. How old to start introducing other foods? What are some things to look out for? Already survived pasty butt! Thanks so much!
