    What a cute fairy egg! I had one last year that was a deep brown. At first I thought it was a nut. Did you crack this open? Mine had a tiny yolk in it too.

    This is my 20 month EE who has just gone thru a hard molt. She had a few white spots before the molt but it has gotten worse. She is eating fine and behaving normally, although I haven't had any eggs since she molted.

    Yes! I was shocked at how still the air was at the back of the coop. I am so happy I decided on a Woods Coop. It has made my life and my so much easier and my hens happier and healthier I think.

    She and my EEs, with the pea combs, did not have frostbite. My 2 BOs lost the very tips of their combs. Because I have a Woods, windchill didn't matter. It was still at the back of the coop. I think the coldest we saw was -8 without windchill.

    Yes, they have deep litter to huddle in. Pine shavings, dried leaves, and dried grass, all fresh from a few weeks ago when I did the fall cleaning.
