My SLW has been going through a pretty hard molt. I haven't been able to get close to her for days. Shes grown back most of her feathers however, and last night I was ably to creep up on her while she was roosting. I found her comb had black spots on it. Does anyone have any suggestions about what this may be?

☹ this was my head hen but she's been huddled in a corner because it's been so cold and she didn't have many feathers. It wouldn't surprise me that someone has decided to peck at her. The frostbite is also possible because she was having a hard time staying warm. None of the other hens roost with her usually. Should I separate her out until the scabs heal?

Id recommend it.
Don't want other hens continuing to open it up.
That way it will heal!
Good Luck
