I am using the deep litter method and I never gave it a thought about the door being high enough to contain the litter. Thank you very much for that reminder. Im getting ready to go get started on the coop and that is one of the things I hope to get done today.

We started to build our coop this week and things are going well. I plan on adding pictures tomorrow of the progress. I do have a question about how big I need to make the chicken door out to the yard. Could anyone help me out with this? We are going to have standard layers.
