    She is a meanie i want to be able to pick her up and not have to worry about her trying to nip me. I dont mind the other ones knocking her around a bit theres a pecking order for a reason thats nature.

    I culled my nasty rooster today. Im just wondering how it will change things with my hens. Can someone who has done this before tell me the positives and negatives of doing this.

    Well im rebuilding my whole coop and run so eggs are accessible from the outside. That way my daughter can get eggs without chickens bothering her. It was rookie mistake to build run around coop.

    Yea well he is horrible and i used to carry him around he was my favorite of our flock but hes just different now. I guess dinner is all we can do.

    Hello chicken people

    Funny ypu say that my wife named all six of pur chicks. 5 after the royal family amd one named Henrietta. We found out about 12 wks in Henrietta was in fact a rooster so she quickly changed it to Henry.

    Yea we have a rooster that lets me hold him and pet him. Before the chickens if u told me id be holding and petting a rooster id say u r crazy. I do it now not afraid to admit im 6'3' 240 lb grown man walking around holding and petting a rooster like a dog crazy.
