    There are between 11 and 13 subspecies of Canada geese, however most are not distinguishable because they can all inter-breed but they range from the Cackling Canada goose to the Giant Canada goose.

    I'd have to say runner based off her posture and the way her head goes straight down into the bill which is unique to runners. There's no dip like in other duck breeds.

    Your Chinese goose looks female, but you would need to vent sex to be sure. If one is more protective over the other, the protective one is your gander and the other your goose. If they are sexually mature, the gander should be displaying his protective behavior now.
