    Help please! Spayed leg or something else?

    I tried wrapping her legs with the tendon in the right spot and put her in a cup with paper towel in the bottom. Plus dinner tray. I might try and find a avian vet tomorrow. I don't want to cull 😥

    Just received chicks today from My Pet Chicken and my Mille Fleur can't walk. I initially thought it was splay leg and made a little brace with a rubber band and straw but reading more I think it may be a slipped tendon in one or both legs. I tried stretching her leg out and I can carefully...

    It's definitely an exciting process! I'm so bummed the chick died. When I heard the peeping this morning I couldn't believe it actually hatched. Fun experiment!

    Also is it normal for the mom to peck at the chick a bit? It doesn't look like she's pecking to kill but at one point she had the chicks foot in her mouth and wouldn't let go. But she stops pecking when the chick gets under her.
