    Abused chickens are injured

    I had 18 chickens given to a person who said she would take care of them. I went to get them today as they were standing on their own feces and stunted. All washed up and cleaned off, and most have these big black scabs on their feet. They can walk but it looks painfull. Is it bumblefoot?

    So i was at the polar bear plunge in kennewick , and we were offered a big bag of apple peels ! So we got a big 20 pound bag, and today i put it in the coop with the girls. ( they ate into them right away - even tho slightly frozen ) Is that okay ?
