Our first chicken coop! A work in progress...

We worked on the coop over the weekend and so far we have four 4x4...
When I go out every night to check on my chickens, they are all very docile when they are sitting on the roost. Normally I cant go right up and pet each and every one of them, but when they sit on their roost they don't seem to mind.
Are all chickens this silly?
maybe you got the thicker walled PVC pipe, like the 300PSI pvc pipe when you should have gotten the thinner walled stuff that will bend, like the 120psi pvc pipe
I know they have different pvc pipe thicknesses at Lowes, there were at least 3 different kinds when we built a PVC raised dog bed...
with my MPC order, they emailed me with the ship date after I placed the order, but I received no further order or shipping confirmation.
My chicks were hatched and shipped on a Monday, and I got a call from the post office the next day on Tuesday at 10:30am, so be on the lookout!

Thanks to all the good stuff everyone posts in the forum, I confidently put my 5-week olds out in their coop last night! The lows got only down to 65, and they were up and peepin around this morning. Happy to have more space than their cardboard box brooder in the house.

if you put pennies in, be sure to use pennies dated 1962-1982, which are 95% copper

I have a pair of Mechanix gloves that have kept my hands stab free from hardware cloth so far, maybe a nice pair of work gloves will save your hands too
my order of 8 chickens from MyPetChicken had just that, 8 baby peeps in it
their website says they dont ship packing peanut chicks
