Any standard Cochin hens near western, nc

HELP my baby chick died... fine yesterday , but when we got home today the chick was shaking like crazy and then it died..... Is ther something I did wrong or is this what happens to some baby chicks... It was one of the smallest in the bin so could that be the problem... Again HELP!!!!!!
