My daughter is keeping her hens at school as well. She checks on them everyday and we go by there at least one time on the werkends. We will bring them home during the Christmas holidays and then take them back.
My daughter helped build this coop for her FFA Project. She has one Delaware and one Barred Rock. Chain link run that has wire on top of it and chicken wire on the side buried 8" in the ground. Hardware cloth is also buried 8" inches in the ground. Two next boxes and a retractable ramp.

I have a friend who feeds her Australorps Game Bird Feed. She has seven and get 7 eggs a day. She said the Game Bird feed is a lot cheaper. Does anyone else feed this?
