Do you think i can move them outside now? The guy at the feed store said they need 6 months inside. Another lady said 3 months so im hesitant to put them out there. I live in California right now our weather is a little all over the place 60-80 degrees. Some people said to put the heat lamp out...

Has anyone used essential oils on the coop to keep away mites and such? I was thibking about peppermint or lavender but cant find any infor on the effects it could have on my girls

Im a first time chicken mom and im planning to start building this run pretty soon. My mom says a roof is unnecessary but we have hawks and i disagree but since im a chicken amature maybe im being overly cautious? I was just thinking of buling a basic frame and using chicken wire or hardware...
