I really want to connect with somebody who is a multi generational chicken farmer who knows about these machines. The FDA mandated egg washing with water in the USA in the 70's and made these obsolete.
I've been restoring a 1940's-50's dry egg cleaner that I inherited from my grandparents. It probably hadn't been turned on since I was a kid, 40 years ago. Anyway, the manufacturer and patent number are on it...so, I have that info but that's about it. I haven't been able to find another one on...
I keep my laying hens confined in a 1 acre run...with an auto door. My ducks and turkeys don't have an auto door but they refuse to go in their coop and I have lost some of them and they were pets. I would just say...defense is the best offense
I also just added 38 dominant coppers to the roost while on the roost at 11 pm...and if the 12 leftovers create a problem...I'll still have 38 dominant coppers...;)
