Ridiculous! Isn't it? Our mayor was quoted as saying "we don't want to be that kind of suburb" (totally stuck up and narrow minded?) It was brought up to the common council in 2012 and hasn't been brought up since. I've had my chickens for 2 yrs in the backyard. So far, under the radar....

My best friend lives in Richmond, I visit her when I can. She used to live in Alameda, I love Alameda. I'm from Wisconsin. I have 6 chickens . I am allowed 0 chickens. I have an acre lot. I would love to take on my city, however, I'm afraid they'll take my girls. Obviously, my neighbors know I have them, I gift them eggs. They have no problem with my chickens, plus I make sure to keep the coop very clean.
