My brooder layed on her eggs until 3 hatched. One was either attempting to hatch and died or was squashed. She left the eggs and took her chicks off. Is this usual? We heard peeping from one of the remaining 6 eggs so moved them to another brooder and one hatched over night.
She has 10 more eggs that she collected. I put food and water near momma. There is another hen brooding as well in there. She only has 2 eggs. She started with 9. Not sure where the others went.
