    What I did with my run is framed it similar to how yours is and I covered the sections I wanted to be solid with 1/2" CDX board and covered that with the steel siding, the open sections I covered with chicken wire. The sides of mine have 2 solid sections with a screen near the top around 10"...

    dog eating duck feed

    Mine likes to eat chicken droppings which is totally disgusting, I'm having a hard time breaking her of it. She is 12 yrs old and knows what NO means but I can't watch her 100% of the time and with the chickens ranging the yard I feel it may be a lost battle unless I keep the birds penned.

    I have 6 roosters and 4 hens that are just 6months old now, so far no death fights but I have a couple of the favorite hens with almost bare patches on their backs from being tag-teamed. 5 of the roos have a date this Thurs morning which I am not thrilled about but it needs to be done sooner...
