    Our girl recently got Sour Crop. Immediately treated her with a pearl sized dose of Monistat 7 orally 2x a day for 4 days, and 1x a day for 3 more days. She recovered well and is back to her normal self. I bought the tube of medication and filled a syringe (that came with children's medicine)...

    Thank you! I do get one per day and I know it's from the Red girl because we watch her lay sometimes. She has also been the only one to do the squatty chicken dance when you go to pet her. Until a few days ago I saw the biggest Blue girl do it. I didn't know they do that once sexually mature...

    They are probably all hens. I haven't seen any spurs forming on their legs either.

    I have 4 Blue Austrolorps that are 26 weeks old and are not laying eggs yet. I've raised them since April. We are in fall going into winter soon. Should I expect them to lay soon or will their bodies wait until spring?
