    They don’t usually get sheen till after the juvenile moult sometimes not even until they are a year old, for my black birds anyway but they are a different breed

    Yes we do have black widows in some areas but not so much where I live Tricky to keep spiders out of the house here we have a resident daddy long legs who keeps away the flies (thankfully they aren’t venomous though)

    I’ve bred blue to black before and you usually get 50% blue, 50% black, you only get splash if you breed blue to blue, blue to splash or splash to splash

    I stopped turning too early on a hatch be prepared if chicks survive till hatching you will likely need to fully assist the chicks and early before they suffocate from malpositioning
