Chicken in hyperdrive - multiple eggs!

Less of a question more a share. I have three chickens, they lay different shade/colour of egg so it's pretty easy to tell who laid what. I collect the eggs every morning. Yesterday I went out and there was 4 eggs. Tandoori had treated us to an extra. Today I went out and there was 5 eggs...

One chicken, Four soft shells, 48 hours.

That's really interesting, we've had strange weather the past two weeks for Ireland - We got up to a nice toasty 30C for a week followed by thunderstorms and awful rain. I wonder if she was stressed by it all. We've had four days of perfect shelled eggs and they've all been of average size so...

Just want to say thanks and to keep being your awesome selves!

I want to say a big thank you to this community. I am a complete newbie when it comes to chickens. Wanted them for years but only took the plunge, May gone. I'll be completely honest, I didn't do enough research. I made a lot of mistakes in a short period of time but thankfully it has all...

    Is this dry fowl pox?

Oh interesting, they're free ranged from late morning to sunset and when I head out they're always very excited and run closely along the hardware mesh. I wonder if that might be it.

    Is this dry fowl pox?

Just going back on pictures and it does seem like her face is getting darker in general, especially her nostrils. June 5 Vs today I just find it odd that the darkness is formed in little circles. She has them on her wattle too.

    Is this dry fowl pox?

Hi all, I'm fairly new to having chickens and would love your opinion. The darkness on her comb has been growing slowly over the past 6 weeks. Honestly I thought it was dirt at first but no, definitely the comb discoloured. She's in excellent form, great appetite, loads of energy. None of...

One of the girls doesn't like the new nest box.

Just wanted to post an update, all the girls are now laying in the nest box. We ended up putting pieces of scrap wood in the corners of the coop and she got the picture. Cardboard did not work as she viewed that as good enough nesting material. 😂

One chicken, Four soft shells, 48 hours.

Thanks so much for the advice. Her system decided to take a break for two days, which I was so happy to see. Today i woke up to a perfectly formed white egg! Happy days, hopefully it continues.

One chicken, Four soft shells, 48 hours.

She's a mottled Ranger and such a funny little chicken! All her eggs are good on the inside, just the shell. Sometimes the shell is almost patchy. The others are doing good, laying consistently and all normal for the most part. I'll keep and eye on her, if any chicken was going to be a...

One chicken, Four soft shells, 48 hours.

Our little lady Tikka has not had the best two days. In a 48 hour period we have gotten FOUR soft shelled eggs from her. The first I would consider shell less, second was completely soft rubber like, third was more solid on top and bottom with a soft rubber band in between and the final had a...

Tried the extra hay, no luck. Another coop floor egg and this time I didn't get out in time to clean the coop floor :hit
