I love my black Australorps. So far my rooster is being very good. I have 2 pullets as well. I also have light Brahmas and Wyandottes. All good tempered!!
I have 4 golden laced Wyandottes and they love flying from their roost to the window ledge and then down into the screen room. It’s a sight for sure. I have an enclosed run. I’m guessing your little one likes to fly so clipping wings may be in her future 🤷🏻♀️
So cute!! How old is he?? My black Australorp, Ronnie, is approx 11-12 weeks old and hasn’t crowed yet. He does demonstrate other rooster traits through like rounding them up in evening for bed and gets in between 2 pullets squabbling. 🤷🏻♀️ I am so looking forward to hearing Ronnie roo lol
Have you thought about letting him grow until just before hormones rage and he’s a good size to process?? We decided to process extra roosters for meat. We also are going to offer the service to other people in area that want to have their chickens for meat, too, but don’t want to do the “deed”...
