We are kind of frantic now as we went out t check on them and feed and waer and all that but cannot find the poor little chick!! I am pretty worried as DH is working to find it.......
Great!! I am hoping this will work but my maybe bigger problem is that she is in a nesting box in the coop and I am thinking that maybe we should have moved her already??
I have a hatch going in the bator and a broody hen and both are hatching at the same time now....so the question is.....If I put her in the tractor with her chicks can I just add the chicks from the inside hatch to her's??? any ideas on this or has anyone else done this before???
These are mostly to refresh my memory, but here goes...I decided to hatch some more of my own eggs since the last hatch was somewhat botched by the good ole power...pole on fire and lost power during incubation and then of course they decided to come replace the pole the day of the hatch so I...
I did think about doing that with the bator while they are changing out the poles....my main problem is that it may be really cold outside so adjusting the temps may be an issue???
I can never remember which day is lock down day....I set my eggs on March 30th, pulled 5 eggs out that were not growing or duds at 7 days, and pulled 4 more that seemed to have died off....my major problem is that over the weekend the electric pole started on fire and we were without power for...

Beautiful roses....they look so great!! Mine are still under snow as it is just now melting away here in South Dakota,,,I had heard the coffee grounds before but never had great luck, maybe not enough?? Sprite, now that is interesting, and well worth a try and not an expensive one either.....
I love having rose bushes but am not very well at getting them to grow the beautiful roses that my friends dh does....although I have asked for his secret.....I will be very interested in learning secrets if they are posted here.
Is the only way to really know if my rooster is doing his job to do a sample hatching to check for fertility? I have 13 hens with 1 rooster and he seems to be doing his business but I am curious as to if the eggs are fertile. DH would kill me if I got more chicks but maybe just a few in the...

2) What is the behavior, exactly. SLW WOULDN'T GO OUTSIDE FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS, THEN WOULD JUST SQUAT FOR A...
They are on layer feed from the feed store and I have a second coop that is fine. The temps only really dropped this past week as we had a quick blizzard for new years and are comeing back above 0. They also have a heating lamp to help keep the coop about 25 to 30 degrees inside.
Over the last 2 months I have lsot 3 chickens. They were all on the older side of my flock as in they were all in the 3 year old range. The first one, a slw, acted strange for about 3 weeks and then the last day would just squat when we entered the coop and died the next day. The next one, a red...
