    Turkey Vultures

    I have many turkey vultures in the area. I'm sure they're attracted by our rat kills. They circle our farm a lot and have never had an issue. We have bantams and mums with chicks free ranging without issue.

    I saw the parents. Ameraucana rooster with Wheaten Marans and BCM hens. His tail is "stubby" because he is moulting at the moment. He actually has one left now. Unless the breeder was lying to me....she sold them as OE

    It has been a lot warmer but today was 23 degrees celsius or around mid 70's F. The coop is very ventilated...it's a 10 x12 shed type with two windows and a man door that is propped open daily. She is only 6 months old so didn't really consider going broody. Cream Legbar is a new breed to me so...

    Update on Niblet. She is now 7 weeks old. She's friendly and calm. A nice little chick...and so pretty too. :)
