Yes, we have meat sheep. We sell the ewes off as starter flocks, and the rams we raise for meat.
Are you getting any rain there? We got almost no rain in may and june, but so far this month we have gotten 10 inches! Everything here is pretty water logged.

Happy Independence day!

We're going to put the cockerels in the freezer next fall when they are about 6 months old. I need to post some new pictures of them and the pullets, as soon as all this rain stops. I'm afraid I've woefully neglected my chick page, I really need to get some recent updates up there!
I too have a whole list of breeds that I would like to get, but right now I'm out of room, so I'll probably have to sell some hens this fall . Yes, finding reliable people to take care of your animals can be hard.
Besides those animals we also have 4 dogs (3 guard dogs and a terrier) and a flock of sheep. Have a great afternoon!
