    Roost height off floor?

    Building another coop and want to put the roost proper height to prevent bumble foot. I have big girls and they will be landing on sand. I plan on having poop board underneath. Possibly have to tiers of roots. Any suggestions?

    Found jet black runny and I mean runny poop on one of the roosting board while cleaning out this afternoon. No evidence of worms, I wormed them with Rooster Booster brand about l0 days ago. Any ideas as what this might be? I was planning on worming again in a few days ago.

    Just had to wash one of my adult RIR hens bottom off. I think I got most of it but when I put her back in the coop, yes, they started picking at her. Ran back to the house and got the blue kote and sprayed her bottom. Seems to stop it. Will they others try to pick at her on the roost tonight...

    So I just dig up a few cups of dirt and sprinkle it around or put it in a pile. Let it site for a day or two, take it out when I clean the bedding. In a few days do it again? They will be vaccinated for Merecks.
