  • Hello Bella! Great to hear Jill's crop was empty! yay!! Always nice when they are healing. :) There are some patchy fall colors around in the low lying areas but nothing spectacular yet. LOL Are the leaves changing nicely up in your territory? Have a lovely weekend my dear!! :)
Hi Bella! Does she have a full crop all the time? If so, you need to get that gunk out of there or it can poison her. If you need instructions on vomiting her, let me know and I will give you safe instructions on how to clear that stuff out of there. It can really help them heal fast. *HUGS* :)
Hi Bella! I am so sorry about Jill. However they can live quite a long time if they wear a crop bra. I have a friend in the UK that has had a bird for nearly 2 years that has worn a bra for pendulous crop. Crops can repair over time. My Miss Molly that passed away last fall wore a crop much of her life and in the end her crop did heal. You need to use lots of probiotics in the water to keep up the good bacteria and no free ranging for a while or any hard seeds. Just layer feed for a while. After a couple of weeks you can add harder foods. Keep me posted!! :)
    Hi Bella,
Oh, yes, most of my birds are molting now, and looking super ugly, and ragged. They are all doing well though, I'm not getting very many eggs (understandably). I'm glad your getting to enjoy your eggs again, fresh eggs are so good! Have a great afternoon! :)
It's been cooler here, in the 70's and 80's during the day, and the 50's at night, and mostly sunny (though the last few days have been cloudy. Are the leaves changed yet there? They are just started to have a hint of color to them here. :)
Hows your flocking doing? Hope you have great evening!
