Mycenae shook with excitement. A real herd, like the ones she'd heard faint stories about at the breeding farms in the pastures. This was crazy. "Thank you so much, Mahogany! By the way, I love your name!" Her voice was rushed and excited. She craned her neck once more, looking around for anyone...
Mycenae kept her ears pricked, continuing to look around the herd. Who was this Camal? And who was the mare with the pinned ears?
(I'm sorry! The last time I posted was on page 620 something and now we're on 687! I couldn't find any replies, so I'm sorry if anyone did reply to me! )
Mycenae shook her dark mane, hoping to rid herself of any spare grains of sand or debris. She wanted to make a good impression. She scanned the area, straining to see who this Camal was.
(haha, thanks! I'm trying to figure this out)
Mycenae stood up a little straighter, all but bouncing on her hooves with excitement. "Sure! I'd love that!"
Relieved to talk to someone, Mycenae nickered in gratitude. "Well, I used to live on a breeding farm. Somewhere. I'm not sure what the humans call it, or even what we do. It was secluded. My brother and I lived there - I don't know who my parents were - until one day, last week I'd guess, we...
Ugh. Mycenae sniffed at the air, and snorted at the lack of equestrian company in its scent. Ugh, ugh, ugh! This is so unfair. She kicked the ground, sending a hunk of grass flying. Her sides heaved with heavy breath and an adolescent tantrum threatened to burst into action.
Soon enough, the restless Mycenae had reached the river. Though she was a breed of desert heritage, she enjoyed the water. She bent her graceful neck down and her velvet muzzle met the water. She felt oddly alone.
Mycenae cautiously stuck out her curved neck and took in the scent of the other horses. She certainly wasn't getting a playful aura from them, and that's the mood she was in. With a defiant snort and a backward shy, she was trotting away. She planned to come back, of course, but she was not one...
"Oh!" Mycenae blurted out with pleasant surprise. "Sorry, I, er… Can I, um, stay with you, I guess? I just need a herd, and you all - I love the desert!" An awkward string of words came flying from Mycenae's velvet mouth.
