I have a couple wood ducks and am getting mandarin ducks soon. I almost have my aviary built. I have kind of a weird question for the future. When wood and mandarin ducks get there first feathers as ducklings do they get there eclipse plumage first or there colorful spring plumage first for the...
I am just getting into wild ducks and am almost done with my aviary. I got a good deal on wood ducks so I already have those and I already have someone selling me mandarin ducks too after the aviary is built. I have kind of a random question for the future. When the ducklings get there first...
Possibly something could be stuck in her throat. You can get a syringe and force water down it’s throat to try and dislodge it but not too much only a lil. Give her some extra electrolytes in her water too
That should be fine the ratio is usually 8-10 hens per roo so it’s on the lower side but they should be all fine if they have been raised together. If it’s possible maybe get a few more hens when these guys get bigger.

So just yesterday I hatched three Chinese geese under a chicken. All eggs hatched and are doing well. I’ve heard they grow really fast. This might be a dumb question but how long do u think it will be till they will reach there moms size. The mom is a blue laced red Wyandotte
I have three turkeys. A Tom and two hens but one of the hens is broody. Do u think that could be the problem? Do u think she just is mad she can’t hangout with the other hen so she is beating up on the chickens?
I have a turkey who I found beating up on a couple of my chickens. They both seem okay now. The are both bloody tho. We recently got this turkey at an auction. She’s either gonna be dinner or going to another place if I can’t get her to like them. Is there any possible way to get a turkey to be...
i raise chickens and turkeys and every year I always have a few who like to sleep outside in the warmer temperatures. And my coop has great ventilation with two windows open during the summer. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. They prolly just wanna enjoy the nice warm weather😁
