I believe she just passed away. She suddenly let out a ton of poop and then couldn’t hold her head up anymore/went limp and closed her eye. She’s not moving and her body is going stiff. 😭😭😭💔💔💔
I just want to say thank you to everyone for trying to help me. I’m so disappointed in myself that I...
I’m back at Walmart. Is there nothing I can get as a substitute for her?
EDIT: ok my local fb group informed me that my chicken might have botulism?? Activated charcoal slurry, sulfa meds, electrolytes and antiparasitics??
Ok so I’m making a quick stop at Walmart to see if they have it here before going to petco. But I had an epiphany while driving. The antibiotic makes sense. I ran out of the expired one she was on before the corid came and she was hanging in there until recently
I didn’t buy it since I wasn’t sure how long it’s going to take for it to get to me and figured that a vet would be able to give me something quicker. I’ll try looking for this nearby. It’s getting late so I don’t think I’ll be able to get to any local feed stores before closing
So I managed to find a place who would do a stool test and prescribe medicine without a visit and they told me that they found absolutely nothing in her stool. 🙃 No coccidia, no worms, nothing! But obviously something is wrong since she’s incredibly weak. They ended up having a look at her and...
Would it be counter productive if I give her the sav-a-chick electrolyte?? From what I read, I would give her the probiotic one after the antibiotic treatment but I was unsure about when to give electrolytes. Or at this time, I should stick to the sugar water when it looks like she’s slipping??
Any works?? From a quick google search, that would be Aureomycin (chlortetracycline), Terramycin (oxytetracycline), Gallimycin (erythromycin), and Duravet???
Also want to ask if I should deworm her again. She just pooped and had this worm in her. A couple days ago, there was another one but bigger
This worm looks more flat than the one she had in the beginning
