I have 11 hens between 21-27 weeks old- NONE are laying!! What am I doing wrong?

They aren't hiding eggs as far as I can tell, and I do look for yolk remnants in case they are eating. Maybe I'll check pelvic bones again on some of the others later today.

They only sing when they see me coming and they think I have treats. Other than that the just make cute clucking noise. I thought they were squatting for me, but it was just them getting comfortable in the dirt bath. They stayed squatting. When I come near them, non of them have done any...

Brand spanking new! Loving this friendly site.

I'm in an unincorporated area in the Bay Area in California. We are starting our flock of pullets this weekend: RIR, Barr Rocks, Buff Orpington, EE, and a Black Australorps. One each. Not sure if I spelled them all correctly. Very excited. Been reading and planning this for 3 years!!! This site...

Chickens in unincorporated Walnut Creek CA-contra costa county

Newbie here! I've searched and can't find specific information about unincorporated Walnut Creek. I've found City of Walnut Creek, but we are in the Saranap District which is not Walnut Creek Proper. Walnut Creek rules indicate land must be 20,000 sq ft or greater for one measly chicken. Most of...
