Input requested on adjusting building plans for duck coop

The attached file shows sketched-out plans I drew for what I want in the duck coop. I lack the building expertise to fill in the construction details and confirm that the measurements match up, so I decided to look for pre-designed plans instead.

Input requested on adjusting building plans for duck coop

I'm looking for a walk-in floorless (a must for drainage) coop with 64-100 square feet. No roosts or built-in nesting boxes required. It must be fairly simple to build and not too expensive. I live in the Gulf Coast region of TX, so flooding, heat, and humidity are concerns but sub-zero...

Cost is an important factor; I will likely forgo the shiplap. What do you think about using aluminum sheets for the roof and/or solid wall? As for finding a plan more consistent with my needs/wishes, this is the closest so far. I have not had success finding better plans through byc.

    Helpful hints for building coops

I'm very inexperienced with building, and I'm trying to build the coop described in this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/input-requested-on-adjusting-building-plans-for-duck-coop.1215676/ I'd love any tips y'all could provide!

    parvo puppy

Thank you, but she is already on free-fed water! While she was in the thick of it we syringe-fed her "Compare to Pedialyte" electrolyte drink and I think it helped her a great deal. My concern right now is getting her weight up and cleaning/disinfecting much-exposed areas of the home while...

Disinfecting is going to be a pain. I'm glad we don't have carpet flooring! We'll just have to do our best, I guess, and try to limit the virus' spread as much as is reasonably possible. (to clarify, burning the house down is not an option, though it might be cathartic. ;)

Yes! He has actually grown and put on weight since the diagnosis and no longer shows any symptoms, so I think he's probably fine. XD

    parvo puppy

Update: Sybil ate breakfast this morning! She hasn't thrown up all day, is nibbling solid food, and get this: She actually climbed over the toy-boxes blocking her into the sick-room! She is still weak and has a lot of weight to gain before she can be considered well, but she may very well mend...

    parvo puppy

I took them to see the vet after the emergency clinic tested for parvo. They each got a shot and have pills to swallow at regular intervals. I have been syringing pedialyte and kibble-broth gruel into Sybil's mouth as well. The diarhea stopped altogether for both of them, but Syb shows no sign...

    parvo puppy

Yes, they are rescues. We found the two of them covered in mange with their mother on the side of the road. After we treated the mange, the mother ran off and never came back. Do you know if drooling is a normal symptom of Parvo? Sybil (the female puppy) never drooled before, but now she's...

    parvo puppy

Thank you! Will do. It's strange. Her brother has it too, but since his symptoms have completely disappeared. The only apparent thing wrong with him is that his best buddy and favorite chew toy is on bed rest.

    parvo puppy

Ugh! Staying up all night with 13 week old GSD with parvo. I have to hold her, it seems to help with the vomiting. I wish she would eat. Already saw a vet. She is on meds for vomiting and diarhea, but she still vomits from time to time. Any experience with parvo puppies? I'm worried about...
