    Chickens not laying?

    We'd really like to hatch eggs from our 2 year old Lemon Cuckoo Orpington Hens, we have seprated them from our other hens, but haven't got any eggs yet. I think they have just finnished moulting. We put a light in their coop about 6 days ago (incase they stopped laying because of less daylight...

    As I said to jessicaagross a rescue center organised it and asked for people to adopt them ... they are based in Ireland if you live in Ireland I can give you their facebook address.

    Oop's meant to just say They are aren't they ... if you get a battery hen try and get at least two so one doesn't get lonely ... :-) !

    My Hens and Roo As I said to jessicaagross a rescue centre in dublin organised it they do one each year and rescue all the hens from one farm

    A animal rescued centre based in dublin did a big hen rescue and they shared on the internet looking for people to adopt them and we found out about it and they did drop offs all around Ireland and we picked them up ... they were 16 months so too old to lay enough for them unfortunately the farm...

    Is Coconut and Coconut Oil Good for Chickens ?

    Well they officially love coconut I gave some to them and they dive into it they love love love it !
