    I forgot about my Australorps. I got them this year, and are pretty close to POL. They are my "forest flock" and pretty much hang out in the trees behind our house (it's fenced in, but still, they act a bit "wild." I kinda like them. I got them to keep company of a single hatchling by a broody (don't know the mix RIR x something that can make a (mostly) black chick.)

    Very impressive comb on him! I always appreciate gentlemanly roos, the one before him was a hatchery oopsie Old English bantam with a massive napoleon complex 😆

    It’s a shame about the brown Easter eggs, though it happens. I had coturnix years ago, started losing them so rapidly to all sorts of predators that I gifted them to someone with a big aviary of them. I miss them still. I’ll have to try to get a flock post going and link it for you!
