ShelterFarm, I made an exact replica of yours and had a big problem with the chickens wasting the feed by knocking it out of the feeder.
Appps, I'm going to change my design to mimic your design. I think the chickens need a trough-like design that prevents them from being able to knock the...
Well, here is what happened.
After keeping the two groups separated, I finally reunited everyone into the completed coop when the hurt toe looked fairly healed up. For nearly five days the girls got along perfectly. Not a single problem.
Yesterday it rained really hard and there was a...
Sudden drop in temps here in Dallas, keep 6-wk old chicks inside coop shelter?
Yesterday it was 83, this morning it's in the 40s (feels like 35). Should I keep the girls locked up in their coop shelter today? They're still having a hard time understanding the concept of the ramp: they know...

For now, things are okay.
I am so thankful for this website...
Thank you Stephanie! I'm going to keep them separated for now until I can figure out a better situation. The one BR seemed much happier to be alone and away from the meanie.
Sorry to be needy right off the bat, but do you guys mind taking a look at an issue I'm having and tell me what you think?
